YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Operations team in Cookeville, Tennessee. In this role, you’ll own the floor — leading a team of skilled production and welding employees and taking accountability for the people, the numbers, and the day-to-day decisions that drive throughput, quality, and safety every shift. You’ll work closely with Production Managers, QA, Maintenance, and planning and materials teams to keep your area running to standard, develop the bench beneath you, and represent the heartbeat of the floor to leadership. This is an opportunity to lead where welding craftsmanship meets data-driven decision-making, with real ownership over your area’s performance.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

• Own the core manufacturing KPIs for your area — schedule adherence, daily attainment/throughput, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Work in Process (WIP) — and speak plainly to what's driving the numbers.
• Use basic data analytics to spot trends and turn that insight into daily decisions and corrective action.
• Provide day-to-day direction for welding and pipe fit-up operations to meet quality and production goals.
• Offer technical guidance in welding methods, techniques, and equipment use, and review work orders and drawings for accuracy.
• Own first-line quality in your area — flag non-conformances, coordinate with QA on weld quality standards, and keep the area audit-ready.
• Evaluate equipment condition, submit maintenance requests, and coordinate with maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement — identify efficiency initiatives, maintain 5S/visual management standards, and participate in improvement events like FEM and summits.
• Partner with planners and materials teams to manage inventory and keep parts available.
• Assure a safe working environment; investigate and document workplace injuries and incidents promptly.
• Supervise hourly employees, monitor work habits, and apply the employee handbook and disciplinary process consistently.
• Present team status, KPI performance, and improvement updates clearly to leadership and peers, and escalate issues promptly.
• Support the development of direct reports — including growing a Lead to absorb daily execution tasks — and contribute to quarterly performance evaluations.

WHAT YOU BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon/stainless steel and alloy metals (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings, check dimensions, and allocate resources effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong math skills and a mechanical mindset.
• Comfortable operating and understanding welding equipment and related manufacturing tools (e.g., cranes, cutting tools, molding presses).
• Clear communicator with leadership qualities, team spirit, and a strong sense of accountability.
• Comfortable working in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) as a daily working tool.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on an active production floor, with PPE compliance required throughout the shift.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• Working familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Qlik and Mendix for production and materials data.
• Comfort using AI-based tools to support reporting, analysis, and communication.
• Hands-on ability to perform or demonstrate core production and welding tasks alongside your team.
