Senior Counsel (Regulatory & Product)

In this role, you will advise our product and engineering teams, track legislative and regulatory developments, and help shape the law that impacts our business. You will work closely with stakeholders across the company and externally, developing positions to support small businesses and their communities. • Advising product and engineering teams on legal complexities and helping them navigate regulatory developments.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and evaluating their potential implications for the company and its users.
• Developing and advancing positions on potential legislation and regulation in partnership with stakeholders across the business.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide risk-calibrated and solution-focused advice to product and engineering teams
• 5+ years of relevant experience at a law firm, in-house, in government, and/or at a judicial clerkship
• Experience counseling product teams and/or online marketplaces is a plus
• Actively experimenting with AI in legal work, and excited to go deeper
• Meaningful exposure to how law and policy get made, either as a legislative aide, in an agency or administration, or through regulatory advocacy
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Willingness to travel
