About The Role

Join Enova as the Commercial Litigation Recovery Lead, where you will be the primary advisor on litigation strategy, collections policy, and legal and operational risk. You will manage relationships with outside law firms, direct complex commercial collections litigation, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Additionally, you will partner with various departments to develop recovery strategies and lead projects to improve efficiency and production.   • Manage relationships with Enova's outside law firm network and outside counsel, serving as the primary point of contact for partner leadership on performance, strategy, and escalations.
  • Direct outside counsel in routine and complex commercial collections litigation, collaborating on enterprise-wide and case-specific strategy, including post-judgment remedies such as garnishment, levies, and asset recovery.
  • Partner with Collections, Fraud, Legal, and Analytics to develop and implement strategies that increase recovery across the pre- and post-charge-off lifecycle for Enova’s small business portfolios.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial collections, creditor-side litigation, commercial financial services or fintech, or creditor-side bankruptcy, with demonstrated exposure to managing outside counsel or third-party vendors
  • Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and judgment; able to weigh legal risk against business outcomes and make sound recommendations under pressure
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort navigating multiple systems of record (e.g., Salesforce, vendor management and litigation tracking platforms)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, hold others accountable to deadlines, and operate with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to set expectations with external partners and present to senior leadership
  • Working knowledge of the laws and regulations governing commercial debt collection and judgment enforcement, or the ability to acquire it quickly
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Prior experience working in a law firm, in-house legal department, or collection agency environment
  • Experience with post-judgment remedies and creditor-side commercial bankruptcy
  • Experience building or managing vendor scorecards, SLAs, or performance-based placement models
