Senior Applied AI Engineer

Join Pulley, a fast-growing startup in the construction industry, as a Senior Applied AI Engineer. In this role, you will develop and deploy AI-driven features, shape the AI strategy, and contribute to system architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and reliable AI-enhanced experiences. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ML/AI experience, thrives in ambiguity, and has experience working with large language models. This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and requires in-person work 4 days a week.

• Is familiar with and comfortable setting up AI and data infra from scratch such as vector databases, LangChain and Docker
• Enjoys collaborating with engineers and designers to meticulously craft great experiences
• Is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, willing to work in-person 4 days a week
• Has 5+ years of ML/AI experience at a technology company
• Thrives in ambiguity and defines the right problems to solve
• Has experience working with large language models, fine tuning and retrieval-augmented generation
• Can translate complex customer needs into extensible, scalable product solutions
• Architects durable systems while making reasonable tradeoffs
