The Rod Bender fabricates and installs concrete reinforcement elements and associated materials per project scope. The Rod Bender/Steel Worker will receive information pertaining to daily schedule of jobsite activities from designated Foreman per the instructions related by the Superintendent, along with receiving support related to specific personnel matters.

• Responsible for executing the fabrication of reinforcement elements per the Foreman’s instructions.
• Laying out of steel bars, mesh, rods, and framework.
• Erect, place, and join steel girders, columns, and other pieces to form structural frameworks.
• Responsible for the installation of prefabricated and in situ reinforcement elements per the Foreman’s instructions.
• Assist with other related tasks that fall under the construction field umbrella.
• Ensures consistent adherence to company safety standards.
• Ensure that jobsites are organized and cleaned daily prior to departure.
• Ensure that tools are cleaned, organized and secured daily.
