Research & Development (R&D) Fall 2027 Co-Op

As an R&D Co-Op, you'll work alongside engineers and technical leaders to solve real-world challenges, build practical solutions, and contribute to technologies that help shape the future of the energy industry. During this six-month co-op beginning Fall 2027, you'll gain hands-on experience with automation, software development, sensing technologies, and product innovation while contributing to projects that directly influence the products and technologies our customers rely on. You'll receive mentorship from experienced engineers, collaborate across functions, expand your professional network, and have opportunities to share your work and recommendations with leadership.

This is an opportunity to apply what you've learned in the classroom, strengthen your technical skillset, and see how your contributions can grow from concept to real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and improve automated tools using Python and scripting technologies.

• Assist with project management, process development, and data analysis.
• -
• Contribute to the design and implementation of product licensing and generation systems used across Qualitrol technologies.
• -
• Analyze technical and engineering data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• -
• Evaluate sensing technologies and support product development initiatives.
• -
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to solve technical challenges.
• -
• Research emerging technologies and explore potential applications for future products.
• -
• Share project findings and recommendations with key stakeholders.

Who We’re Looking For

• -
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.

• Expected graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
• -
• Curious, analytical, and motivated to tackle complex technical challenges.
• -
• Interest in engineering, product development, automation, or applied research.
• -
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Technical Skills

• Experience with or interest in Python programming and automation.

• Familiarity with data analysis, scripting, or engineering design projects.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• A Plus: Experience with databases, software development, research labs, or product development projects.
