Pay: Starting at $32/hour — higher depending on experience
Location: Candidates should be based near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced field foreman to lead crews installing stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metalwork at construction sites. This position oversees daily field operations, crew coordination, installation quality, and job-site safety while working with general contractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate field crews performing miscellaneous metals installation.
Lead installation of stairs, railings, and related metal components.
Coordinate daily work activities with the General Contractor.
Review blueprints and verify proper layout, measurements, and installation.
Plan crew assignments and coordinate materials, tools, and equipment.
Confirm required crew certifications and ensure site requirements are followed.
Enforce PPE requirements and project-specific safety procedures.
Conduct or participate in toolbox talks and daily safety discussions.
Complete required field and vehicle inspection reports.
Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Monitor workmanship and address installation or job-site issues.
Serve as the field safety point of contact for the crew.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals preferred.
Previous foreman or crew-supervision experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and safety documentation.
Strong measurement and basic math skills, including working with angles and degrees.
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1.
Familiarity with welding processes including:
SMAW
FCAW
GMAW
GTAW
Current welding certifications or ability to successfully pass a weld test.
Strong commitment to job-site safety, quality, and teamwork.
