In this position...

Ford Payroll Service Center-Mexico seeks a Payroll Operations Manager to lead payroll operations support in partnership with the U.S. Payroll team in Dearborn, Michigan.

The role is responsible for accurate, complete, and timely processing of operations activities, including validating payroll-to-bank interfaces, coordinating paper checks, processing stop-pay requests, validating funding requests and processing vendor payments, analyzing variances, among other payroll related activities.

Key Responsibilities​​

Payroll Banking Operations: Validate payroll-to-bank interfaces, coordinate paper check issuance and delivery when needed, process stop-pay requests, and complete related banking activities accurately and on time.

Final Pay Processing: Review termination and deceased employee documentation, process final payments, and coordinate “check-in-hand” delivery when required.

Funding and Vendor Payments: Validate payroll funding requests and process external service provider payments in accordance with vendor terms, internal controls, and required timelines.

Analysis and Operational Support: Perform ad hoc analysis, process third-party payments, monitor aged uncashed paper checks, and support additional payroll-related activities as business needs arise.

Team Leadership and Service Delivery: Supervise, train, and mentor payroll staff to support consistent, high-quality execution of payroll operations in alignment with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Management Responsibilities​​

Team Leadership and Development: Develop, train, and coach team members to ensure they are proficient in payroll systems, company policies, and applicable payroll, finance, and accounting principles.

Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day service center operations and ensure performance meets established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including response times, resolution times, and first-contact resolution.

Escalation Management: Serve as a senior point of contact for complex payroll matters, including payroll discrepancies, process questions, and system-related challenges.

Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable policies, controls, and data privacy standards while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to align payroll processes, accounting activities, reporting needs, and system integrations.

Education qualification

-

Preference for Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business, with knowledge in payroll, accounting, and/or finance controller roles.

Required Qualifications & Skills

-

Fluent communication in English language (spoken, written, and comprehension).

-

Experience in leading or supervising a service-oriented team.

-

Ability to handle employees concerns confidently, independently, and with a high level of professionalism.

-

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

-

Computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with SharePoint preferred

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex interactions while building strong relationships across teams and locations.

Work Mode & Location:Ability to work in a Hybrid model, with the flexibility to work at Global Technology and Business Center (GTBC) in Naucalpan, Mexico.
