About The Role

We're looking for a talented Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Manchester team. This is a multi-skilled role, offering the chance to work across a broad range of projects, dilapidations and professional surveying instructions as desired, while learning from some of the industry's most respected experts. The role combines technical delivery, client-facing responsibility and the opportunity to develop your own specialisms as your career progresses.

At Hollis, we don't believe surveyors should be limited to one type of work. You'll have the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of commercial property instructions, supporting investors, landlords, occupiers and developers with everything from refurbishment and project delivery through to dilapidations, technical due diligence, planned maintenance and defect-related advice. The breadth of work means you'll continue to build your expertise, gain exposure to different sectors and collaborate with specialists from across the business.

Responsibilities

Deliver a broad range of building surveying instructions across commercial property portfolios.

Take a lead on or support refurbishment, fit-out and improvement projects within a lucrative client portfolio

Undertake and advise on dilapidations matters for both landlords and tenants.

Support junior team members such as graduates & apprentices to assist their engagement and development

Act as a project lead: managing instructions, client engagement and relationships, job related financials (fee proposals, invoicing, pipeline) and a point of contact across the North West region.

Learn to build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery and business development opportunities

Work collaboratively with colleagues across surveying, engineering, project management and other specialist disciplines.

About You

MRICS qualified Building Surveyor

Confident with relationship building, being client facing and keen to engage with and support new business opportunities

Capable to manage projects and instructions from end-to-end, or confident to learn quickly

Good understanding of generalist building surveying instructions such as dilapidations, project management, TDD etc.

Experienced working on refurbishment projects within commercial real estate sectors such as industrial, office, retail, leisure, hotels, student accommodation and residential advantageous

Motivated by continuous professional development as part of a growing team
