Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Medical Team Administrator (MTA) at the Cabarrus County Jail in North Carolina.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys structure, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping oversee the delivery of quality correctional healthcare.

The primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. From time to time, the MTA may be asked to provide occasional night or weekend coverage when there are call-outs or additional shift coverage needs.

✨ What You’ll Do

As the Medical Team Administrator, you will help oversee the day-to-day delivery of healthcare services within the facility while providing hands-on clinical support when needed.

Your responsibilities may include:

Overseeing and coordinating daily healthcare operations
Providing clinical guidance and support to the nursing team
Delivering direct patient care as needed
Coordinating patient assessments, treatments, medications, and follow-up care
Ensuring compliance with established clinical policies and procedures
Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation
Communicating with facility leadership and the SHP healthcare team
Supporting staff development, scheduling, and clinical performance
Helping maintain a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
Responding to staffing needs, including occasional night or weekend coverage when necessary

Qualifications🩺 What We’re Looking For

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
Current CPR certification
Previous nursing experience
Leadership, supervisory, or charge nurse experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
