Exterior Cleaning and Special Projects Technician

The Exterior Cleaning & Special Projects Technician performs specialized exterior cleaning services at client locations throughout the Nashville market and surrounding regions. Primary responsibilities include exterior window cleaning, building soft washing, and commercial pressure washing. This mobile, field-based position requires frequent travel and the safe operation of company vehicles and commercial cleaning equipment.

Essential Duties

• Clean exterior windows using purified water-fed pole systems and other approved equipment.
• Perform building soft washing to remove dirt, mold, mildew, algae, and other organic buildup.
• Perform hot-water pressure washing of sidewalks, entrances, common areas, and other exterior surfaces.
• Inspect work areas and surfaces to determine appropriate cleaning methods and identify potential safety concerns.
• Safely operate and maintain pressure washers, water-fed pole systems, hoses, surface cleaners, and related equipment.
• Follow all ABM safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle and comply with applicable driving requirements.
• Travel between client locations and complete assigned projects according to established schedules and quality standards.
• Communicate professionally with ABM leadership and client representatives regarding project status, site conditions, and service needs.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and supplies in safe working condition.
• Perform additional special projects and regional support as assigned.

Travel Requirements

This position requires frequent travel throughout the Nashville metropolitan area, Middle Tennessee, and surrounding markets. Periodic travel to locations approximately 90-100 miles from Nashville is expected, along with occasional regional and out-of-state assignments that may require overnight stays. A company vehicle and applicable fuel, maintenance, and work equipment are provided for authorized business use.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial exterior cleaning, pressure washing, window cleaning, facilities services, or similar work preferred.
• Ability to safely operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company motor vehicle requirements.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly and work independently at multiple locations.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical requirements associated with exterior cleaning work.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project and client needs.
