Bring building systems to life and help clients achieve safer, more efficient, and higher-performing facilities. Based in Calgary, you will contribute to commissioning work for new and existing buildings, collaborate with owners, designers, and builders, and grow your expertise across a supportive national network.

Your Impact

• -
• Improve the functionality and performance of new and existing buildings as an active member of multidisciplinary project teams.
• -
• Deliver design reviews, equipment and system verification procedures, commissioning documentation, and clear summary reports.
• -
• Collaborate with owners, designers, and builders to advance high-performance building objectives, including LEED, Net Zero, and carbon-neutral outcomes.
• -
• Conduct site visits, review installation quality, and recommend improvements to equipment and building-system efficiency, operations, maintenance, and longevity.
• -
• Coordinate with technical leaders on commissioning, energy audits, and retro-commissioning assignments.
• -
• Apply quality assurance and quality control practices consistently across building-system work.
• -
• Improve internal processes, templates, and best practices that strengthen project delivery across the organization.
• -
• Support projects primarily in Alberta, with occasional travel to other provinces and territories as required.

The Skills That Set You Apart

-

Four to eight years of related experience with building systems, commissioning, design, construction, energy auditing, or major renovation projects.

-

A journeyperson credential in mechanical, electrical, or building automation, or a diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, building systems engineering, alternative energy, or building sustainability.

Practical knowledge of building-system performance, operations, design, verification, and optimization.

Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.

A relevant professional designation or eligibility, such as CET, P.Tech., E.I.T., or P.Eng.; commissioning or building-performance credentials such as LEED AP, CCP, CxA, CEM, or CMVP are assets.

Experience with existing-building energy audits, including ASHRAE energy audits, is an asset.

Ability to manage changing priorities, work effectively in small teams, and maintain productive client relationships.

A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation to construction sites in the Calgary area, with readiness for occasional travel.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 to $102,500

MB & ON: $70,600 to $97,200

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,9000 to $92,900
