The context

With our team, you work for an international organisation in the defence sector, based in Luxembourg. Its business applications support critical logistics and operations in a security-classified environment, where availability, traceability and information security are not negotiable. The role is full-time on-site and requires a security clearance.

Your mission

You keep business-critical applications available, and you make sure that every incident is resolved, documented and not repeated.

Monitor and anticipate

• Monitor applications, interfaces and batch chains, and act before users are affected
• Follow nightly processing and restart or correct failed jobs within the agreed timeframes

Resolve incidents

• Diagnose and resolve level 2 and level 3 incidents, together with development teams and vendors
• Lead root-cause analysis on recurring problems and follow the fixes through to closure

Improve and secure the run

• Apply the change, release and security procedures of a classified environment
• Keep runbooks and operating documentation up to date, and automate repetitive checks

• Your profile
• What is essential

• At least 5 years in application production support on Windows Server environments
• A valid NATO SECRET security clearance, or a dormant clearance that can be reactivated
• Proven incident and problem management practice with an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow
• Hands-on experience with batch scheduling, monitoring tools and SQL for investigation
• A degree in computer science or IT engineering
