Welder II - 3rd Shift

We are looking for a talented Welder II to join our 3rd Shift team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC.

Job Summary

Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain and repair all machinery.
• Welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat and vertical
• Able to lift 50 Lbs

• Base Rate: $22.00 - $25.47/hr
• Shift Premium: $1.00/hr
