We’re looking for a full-time Dental Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team at Ivy Cottage Dental Practice in Inverkip.

This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding role and a great working pattern within a supportive, well-established practice.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Inverkip, close to the beautiful Inverclyde coastline, Ivy Cottage is a community-focused practice with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Based on the village's main street, our practice provides both NHS and private dentistry and has built strong relationships with patients from Inverkip and the surrounding area.

You'll be joining an experienced clinical team providing a varied range of treatments, from routine dentistry and hygiene care through to whitening, Invisalign and other orthodontic treatments. It's a fantastic environment for a Dental Nurse who enjoys variety, takes pride in excellent patient care and wants to continue developing their skills alongside experienced colleagues.

Your Role

As a Dental Nurse, you'll be an integral part of the practice team, providing chairside support to our clinicians and helping us deliver an excellent experience for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include

• Creating a warm and welcoming environment that helps patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
• -
• Providing high-quality chairside support throughout a variety of treatments
• -
• Using Software of Excellence to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• -
• Preparing surgeries and ensuring they are appropriately set up for each clinical session
• -
• Anticipating the needs of clinicians and patients and ensuring the necessary equipment and laboratory work is available
• -
• Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of clinical stock
• -
• Supporting the wider practice team with reception duties when required, including telephone enquiries, appointments and patient payments

• Maintaining excellent clinical, cross-infection and health & safety standards

About You

We're looking for someone who

• -
• Is a qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration
• -
• Has experience working within an NHS and/or private dental practice
• -
• Is passionate about providing an excellent standard of patient care
• -
• Is friendly, reliable and enjoys being part of a supportive team
• -
• Is confident using their own initiative and taking ownership of their responsibilities
• -
• Has a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
