Repair Technician

Key Key Duties

• -
• Test and repair of manufactured products to internal specification
• -
• Fault-finding, analysis, and diagnosis of non-working electronic devices down to component level
• -
• Investigate and report issues during testing procedures to confirm root cause and failure mode
• -
• Prepare sample test reporting detailing findings through testing procedures adhering to internal requirements
• -
• Propose design, development or implementation of new test procedures
• -
• Support the creation and development of test protocols, specifications and validation
• -
• Ensure testing processes comply with production requirements
• -
• Ensure quality and H&S standards are followed within all testing processes
• -
• Maintain, repair and calibrate test equipment
• -
• Lead training on test procedures with manufacturing operators
• -
• Debrief to our industrialization and Manufacturing teams on issues found during testing and participate in plan of action for product/component amendments/replacement
• -
• Ensure compliance of Quality, H&S, and housekeeping practices in the workplace
• -

Job Competencies/Key Skills

• -
• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or time-served experience
• -
• Demonstrable hands-on experience on testing and fault finding of electronic products (analogue/digital)
• -
• Strong knowledge of engineering and electrical/electronic testing skills
• -
• Ability to read and interpret electrical / electronic drawing / schematics
• -
• Desirable product knowledge in the areas of Warden Call, Nurse Call, At Home Alarms, Telecare, Telehealth and Door Access Control systems, or similar fields
• -
• Ability to take a practical and adaptable approach to technical issues
• -
• Tech savvy – ability to learn the functionality of new products in a short period
• -
• Be self motivated and able to work in a demanding environment
• -
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• -
• Be able to communicate well at all levels inside & outside the company
