About The Role
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for base and heavy maintenance work packages on H225
- Review, approve and certify completed maintenance tasks performed by B1/B2 Certifying Staff
- Oversee technical compliance of maintenance activities against AMM, SB, AD and CAAM requirements
- Act as the technical authority for troubleshooting and engineering dispositions on complex defects
- Liaise with Design Organisations (DO) and OEM (Airbus Helicopters) on engineering queries and concessions
- Support and supervise the planning, execution and final release of scheduled C-checks and D-checks
- Ensure maintenance records and technical logbooks are accurate, complete and regulatory-compliant
- Mentor Certifying Staff B1.3 and support their professional development and CA scopes
- Participate in CAAM authority audits, customer audits and internal quality reviews
- Contribute to the development and update of maintenance procedures and local work orders
Mandatory Qualifications
- EASA Part 66 Category C licence — or B1.3 with demonstrated senior certifying engineer responsibilities
- CAAM recognition or conversion of the above licence — Mandatory
- Active Certification Authorisation (CA) covering H225 base maintenance — Mandatory
- CRS sign-off authority currently valid — Mandatory
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering — preferred
- Equivalent recognised aviation engineering qualification accepted
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in helicopter maintenance
- Minimum 5 years on H225 / EC225 / AS332 platforms
- Demonstrated experience certifying base maintenance work packages as Category C or senior B1.3
- Familiarity with Makila 2A1 power plant — strong asset
- Prior experience in offshore oil & gas MRO environment — highly valued
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of Airbus Helicopters technical documentation (AMM, IPC, SRM, SB, AD, EMM)
- Solid understanding of CAAM Part M, Part 145 and associated regulations
- Experience with MRO management systems (AMOS, SAP or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering orders and OEM dispositions
- Familiarity with reliability programmes and root cause analysis methodology
Soft Skills & Profile
- High sense of responsibility and rigorous commitment to aviation safety
- Strong decision-making ability in a time-critical maintenance environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bahasa Malaysia fluency — valued for local team leadership
- Leadership profile with ability to manage and mentor technical teams
- Structured, process-driven, comfortable working under CAAM authority scrutiny
