Supplier Development Engineer

As a vital member of our team, you will uphold our commitment to excellence by conducting thorough inspections of new and modified parts. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring our products meet the highest standards. Working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality and innovation.

• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform detailed inspections using advanced measurement tools, including CMMs.
• Analyze inspection data, identify deviations, and initiate root cause analysis.
• Lead 8D, 5 why's, and Fishbone diagram analyses to uncover underlying issues.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance product quality.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and generate comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their adherence to our quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and suggest process improvements.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles for optimized processes.
• Conduct supplier audits to maintain consistent quality standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong technical expertise in CNC milling and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Experience with root cause analysis methods, including 8D and Fishbone diagrams.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools like Kaizen and 5S.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in using inspection equipment and software.
• A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
