Full Stack Software Engineer

SXSE Enterprises is the financial and legal backbone for a family of operating companies spanning retail, manufacturing and transportation operations, real estate development, construction management, software development and additional consulting and professional services across multiple U.S. states and Puerto Rico.SXSE Enterprises is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build an enterprise resource planning platform that brings supply chain, inventory, finance, and operations into a single system. The platform is in production today with a growing user base.

You'll work directly with our CTO and CEO on a small team, own features end to end (data model through UI), be in the room for architecture decisions, and build with AI tools as part of the daily workflow.

Our mission is to build comprehensive software solutions that serve various needs across the cannabis industry. With over a decade of experience, we are a rapidly expanding company, continuously growing into new markets across the U.S., positioning ourselves as a leader in the industry.

This role must be based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain features across the full stack
• Write well-tested code following best practices and deploy it yourself
• Work with users to get the architecture and implementation right
• Take part in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Troubleshoot and fix production issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (required)
• 2–5 years of professional experience building and shipping web applications
• Solid understanding of modern front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, including query writing and schema design (PostgreSQL preferred)
• You write unit and integration tests as a matter of course
• You've deployed applications to a cloud platform (AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, or similar)
• You can explain a technical decision clearly to someone who isn't an engineer
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check

Preferred Qualifications

Java and Spring (Spring Boot)

Ruby on Rails

• React or a similar modern front-end framework
• API design and implementation
• Experience with ERP, accounting, or inventory systems

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation $100k - $150k, commensurate with experience
