MRO Parts Room Supervisor

The Role

Provides oversight and supervision for the skilled parts room employees who perform daily inventory activities in maintaining MRO inventory levels, organization and accurate process flow.

What You’ll Do

-

Responsible for the supervision of parts room employees. Establish work methods, priorities, and controls to meet established performance standards. Also, responsible for the organization and management of offsite warehouse location(s) if applicable.

Plan, coordinate and supervise training designed to ensure employees are trained effectively on all systems and procedures. Includes on-the-job training and well as continued professional development of employees.

Responsible for scheduling of personnel, manage daily work flow and specific projects within the department.

Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to create efficiencies for internal processes. Establish priorities consistent with business needs and adherence to the appropriate processes.

Use established criteria to coach for success, develop a team culture and evaluate performance.

Ensure compliance with all appropriate Federal, State and internal audit regulations for document retention of receiving records. Conducts audit of spare parts for obsolete equipment.

Provides needed inventory information and works closely with the MRO Specialist and MRO Planners to control inventory needs and related transactions.

Responsible for the overall MRO inventory accuracy and parts room security. Monitors and resolves inventory adjustments (includes cycle counts). Removing min/max’s, interplant transfers, return to vendors and toting to storage. Conducts daily parts requisition review (prior to purchase order issue). Sources parts for alternate vendors, or direct OEM (Allen Bradley distributor vs Tetra Pak)

Supports maintenance techs and supervisors to ensure our equipment is running (overnight, expedite parts or alternative options). May also need to fulfill, support and fill in for all the duties that the parts tech performs.

What You’ll Bring

-

Education: High School Diploma. Advanced college/technical training preferred.

-

Experience: 3-5 years of inventory experience in a similar business setting or within WEI. 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge - Strong proficiency of Oracle EAM system and its’ processes. Strong proficiency of vendor relationships and MRO contract agreements. Knowledge of mechanical systems and processes within manufacturing.

Skills - Effective communication skills, both oral and verbal. Attention to detail, cost analysis and organizational skills.

Abilities - Ability to lead, influence, coach and efficiently direct work flow.

Financial Scope: Stock rooms for all MRO spare parts – amounts vary based on location
