Waiter A / Σερβιτόρος Α - Glyfada Riviera

Great service is what turns a good meal into a great night. As a Waiter / Waitress at Glyfada Riviera Hotel, you'll look after our guests from the moment they sit down until they say goodbye: sharing your favorite dishes, suggesting the perfect wine and making every table feel special. You'll be part of a lively team, reporting to our F&B Manager, and working side by side with our kitchen and assistant waiters to make every service run smoothly.

What you'll do

• Welcome guests, show them to their table and present the menu
• Take orders carefully, answer questions and make sure every detail is right
• Share our daily specials and menu highlights
• Serve food and drinks on time, just the way the kitchen intended
• Recommend wines and drinks that go perfectly with each dish, and serve them with care
• Take special requests seriously, including allergies and dietary needs, and pass them clearly to the kitchen
• Handle any guest concerns calmly and quickly
• Work with the assistant waiters to keep your tables cleared, reset and ready
• Present the bill, take payments accurately and thank guests for dining with us

Requirements

• What you bring – Requirements
• [1+] year of experience as a waiter or waitress
• A friendly, positive attitude and a love for looking after people
• Good spoken English to talk guests through the menu
• Calm under pressure and able to keep several tables happy at once
• A real team player who works well with the kitchen and the rest of the team
• Good with numbers and careful with payments
• A polished, professional appearance
• Happy to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Comfortable being on your feet for most of your shift, walking and carrying plates

Nice to have

• Experience in fine dining or a 4- or 5-star hotel
• Good knowledge of wine and food pairings
• A certificate or studies in Hospitality
• A second foreign language

Meet your F&B Manager, the restaurant team and our chefs. Get your uniform and a full tour of the spaces, bar and back-of-house. Get to know our menu, wine list and how we take orders and payments. Work side by side with an experienced colleague during your first services. No pressure to be perfect from day one. We'll help you settle in at your own pace
A day in your shoes

• Start your [lunch / dinner] shift with a team briefing: today's menu, specials, reservations and any special guest requests
• Set up your section with your assistant waiter before the doors open
• During service: welcome guests, take orders, suggest wine pairings and keep an eye on every table in your section
• Break time with the team [with a meal on us]
• After service: close your bills, reset your section and get everything ready for the next shift
