Senior Founding Engineer (AI/ML)

About the Role

You will own the core intelligence layer of a recruiting marketplace, building the AI and ML systems that drive candidate and role matching. You will work closely with the founding team to ship end to end features and scale the product from its early stages.

What You'll Do

• Own the AI/ML intelligence layer end to end including recommendations, ranking, and retrieval.

• Develop LLM powered matching to improve candidate role alignment.
• -
• Take features from problem to production and ship on a daily cadence.
• -
• Architect and maintain production data pipelines and services for models.
• -
• Collaborate with the founders to translate product goals into shipped systems.

What We're Looking For

• -
• 2-5 years shipping production software with applied ML depth and real user impact.
• -
• Hands-on experience with recommender systems, ranking, or ML powered matching in production.

• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python; production experience with LLM APIs.
• -
• Strong CS fundamentals and track record in fast, unstructured startup environments.
• -
• Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines and services; embeddings or vector search experience is a plus.
• -
• Strong portfolio of work or projects demonstrating practical ML deployments.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. Equity is available for founding-hire roles. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Primary location: San Francisco, California, United States. On-site work required.
