Warranty Estimator

• To prepare accurate & efficient estimation of all warranty jobs as per Warranty Policy ensuring that all the warranty requirements have been met, for raising successful claim

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure all the details required for warranty are available on the repair order form before estimating (costing) the warranty repair and replacements.
• Ensure all the documents required by Warranty are attached to the repair order and any un-claimable hours are reported to Service Manager, with copy to Warranty Controller for suitable decision/ advice.
• Return repair order to the Quality Controller in case of any discrepancy clearly noting the same in red ink in the front of the repair order under “Rectify following processes” stamp.
• Process costing reports as and when may be required by the Service Manager / Warranty Controller/ Manager
• Ensure all parts price are correct and correct warranty account been used before invoicing
• Reduce Warranty WIP the Minimum and clear out any pending warranty WIP in Autoline.
• Ensure all JLR Extended warranty repairs are invoiced after completion and send the invoice to Warranty controller for submission within two weeks from PAR approval

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• Qualification: High School/ undergraduate

Years of Experience

• 3-5 years experience in costing repair orders in an automotive franchise preferably in Warranty department

Knowledge and Skills

• Automobile Trade Certificate or equivalent with 3-5 years experience of working as Technician
• Working knowledge of PC
• Accurate & efficient typing skill
