Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Bookkeeper
to support the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established, locally owned business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and payroll, completing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and tax preparation.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account analysis
Complete balance sheet and daily bank reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments after management approval
Prepare and submit payroll information accurately and on time to an outsourced payroll provider
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
Organize financial documentation for CPA and annual workers' compensation audits
Assist with tax preparation by organizing required financial documentation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Perform accurate data entry and 10-key typing
Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience as a
Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
Experience with general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Experience performing bank reconciliations
Proficiency with
Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with accounting software;
QuickBooks or similar systems preferred
Payroll and tax experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
