RN Nurse Manager- Labor & Delivery- Full Time, Days, Morristown NJ

Leads clinical, operational, and financial activities to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient workflows, and regulatory compliance. Manages staffing, budgets, and performance. Fosters collaboration with physicians and teams, drives patient satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Identifies the clinical and professional development needs of nursing staff, plans and provides education in area of expertise. Develops and provides educational programs and conferences for staff, other departments, and community.
2. Plans, and implements quality improvement programs for both clinical education and environment of care. Works with staff to identify interventions needed to successfully implement workflow changes.
3. Reviews patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care.
4. Works with senior leadership, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services in align with the system.
5. Addresses issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
6. Maintains clinical and non-clinical guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
7. Promotes and maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations. Provides assistance from other health care professionals within the system and from regulatory agencies.
8. Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
9. Maintains and works among the health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Valid NJ nursing license
• BLS within 6 months of hire
• ACLS within 6 months of hire

1. NRP within 6 months of hire

Preferred

1. 5 years' experience in management in a Regional Perinatal Center preferred
2. 10+ years' labor and delivery experience in a high-risk unit preferred
