Roadway Design Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

• AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Design Engineering Intern to join our Novi, MI office.
• Your role

• Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects.
• Establishes and maintains records or files of technical data or documents.
• Performs mathematical calculations.
• Performs various routine tasks in Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

About you

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 50 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
• Basic understanding of transportation engineering principles and design.
• Computation, math skills and drafting/CAD ability are generally required.
• Computer skills required to enter data and information in spreadsheets or databases.
• Preference to applicants who have CAD/OpenRoads Designer experience.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
