Athletic Trainer (PRN/As Needed)

McLeod Sports Medicine is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our growing team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position provides athletic training services for practices, games, and sporting events while supporting injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and sports performance initiatives.

As part of our collaborative Sports Medicine team, you will work under the direction of our Medical Director and alongside experienced athletic trainers, physical therapists, and rehabilitation professionals dedicated to helping athletes perform at their highest level.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training coverage for practices, games, and athletic events.
• Assist with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and management of athletic injuries.
• Design and implement rehabilitation programs for injured patients.
• Assist with physical examinations, medical documentation, and daily athletic training facility operations.
• Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in sports performance programming initiatives.
• Provide outreach services to club, recreational, and collegiate athletic programs as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

McLeod Sports Medicine operates within a state-of-the-art, 25,000-square-foot outpatient rehabilitation facility dedicated to orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services. Our multidisciplinary team includes Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Athletic Trainers who provide care for individuals with acute and chronic orthopedic and sports-related conditions.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
• Eligible for Athletic Trainer licensure in the State of South Carolina.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
