Who we are

Connolly is a family-run specialist in complex, whole-house refurbishment – delivered by our own Connolly people. We were founded in 1980 by Tony Connolly who still pops in to keep an eye on us.

We work for social landlords across the North of England to create warmer, safer and decent homes. This includes refurbishing internal spaces such as kitchens and bathrooms, upgrading exterior windows and doors, plus retrofitting homes to make them more energy efficient and compliant with latest legislation.

What you’ll be doing

Vehicle & Compliance

• Undertake daily vehicle checks (oil, water, tyres, defects etc.).
• Maintain company vehicles in line with company policies and procedures.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents and accidents.
• Carrying out regular vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised company vehicle
• Materials Management & Deliveries
• Delivering materials, tools and equipment to sites
• Collecting materials from suppliers and merchants
• Supporting site teams with loading and unloading deliveries
• Assisting with stock movements and site logistics
• Receive and unload deliveries to site.
• Manage site stores and compounds.
• Monitor stock levels and advise Site Managers when materials require reordering.
• Deliver materials to operatives and properties across site.
• Collect urgent materials from suppliers when required.
• Deliver kitchen, bathroom and finishing materials to properties.
• Deliver plasterboard, timber, plastics, flooring, tiles, adhesives, paint and other sundry materials.
• Support large material movements where operatives cannot safely transport materials themselves.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently

Waste Management

• Collect and remove waste from properties throughout the working day.
• Remove kitchen and bathroom rip-outs.
• Transfer waste to designated skips or waste storage areas.
• Monitor skip usage and notify Site Managers when exchanges are required.

Site Support

• Support site teams with site requirements when required
• Assist labourers and trades where required.
• Carry out labouring duties during busy periods or where additional resources are needed.
• Help with rip-outs and property clearances when necessary.
• Support the efficient running of programmes by ensuring operatives have the materials they need when they need them.

Compound & Site Management

• Maintain clean, tidy and organised compounds and storage areas.
• Ensure stores and cabins remain secure.
• Assist with maintaining good housekeeping standards across site.
• Report low stock levels, material shortages and site issues to the Site Manager.

Planning & Communication

• Review daily work schedules and understand programme requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections across multiple properties.
• Work closely with Site Managers to support programme delivery and site logistics.
• Alert Site Managers to emerging issues affecting materials, waste management or site operations.
• Always providing a professional and courteous service

What you'll bring

• Previous driving or delivery experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good knowledge of local road networks
• Reliable and organised approach to work
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
• Good communication skills
• Experience within construction or Social Housing is desirable but not essential
