Puritas (Pvt) Ltd is a member of world of Hayley’s and fully owned subsidiary of Haycarb PLC, an environmental engineering company specialized in Water and Wastewater Purification, Manufacturing of Value-added activated carbon products. Puritas is the leader in providing water and wastewater treatment solutions in Sri Lanka and Maldives. We have built over 500 treatment plants across Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar. The company is engaged in provision of custom designed water and wastewater purification systems, community and municipal scale water supply and sewerage projects, water and wastewater consultation and customized operation and maintenance contracts in the same capacity.

Position: Executive - Marketing and Business Development (Water & Wastewater Solutions)
Location: Puritas Head Office, Colombo 10
Job Responsibilities:

Drive sales and achieve assigned revenue and business development targets for water and wastewater treatment solutions, products, and services.

Conduct proactive field sales activities and regular customer visits to identify new clients, projects, and business opportunities across the industrial, commercial, hospitality, and construction sectors.

Generate new leads and develop strong, long-term relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and other key decision-makers.

Understand customer requirements through meetings, discussions, and site visits, and collaborate with technical and proposal teams to develop technically suitable and commercially competitive solutions.

Manage and follow up on inquiries, quotations, proposals, and negotiations through to successful order conversion.

Develop and manage existing customer accounts while continuously identifying opportunities for business growth and new customer acquisition.

Identify and pursue opportunities for new treatment plants, plant upgrades and augmentations, operation and maintenance (O&M) services, equipment, chemicals, spare parts, and other related solutions.

Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and provide regular reports on leads, opportunities, sales forecasts, conversions, customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities.

Represent Puritas at customer meetings, exhibitions, industry events, and other business development activities.

Undertake regular travel for customer meetings, site visits, project discussions, and other field sales and business development activities.
Candidate Profile:
-
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales, preferably within water and wastewater treatment, environmental engineering, MEP, construction, industrial equipment, chemicals, or other technical solution-based industries.

Proven track record in lead generation, customer relationship management, opportunity development, sales follow-up, and achievement of sales targets.

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-handling skills, with the ability to understand and communicate basic technical requirements.

Candidates with an engineering or technical background combined with strong sales and business development capabilities will have an added advantage.

Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently in a field-based environment while coordinating effectively with internal technical and commercial teams.

Good command of English, with sound proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively for customer meetings, project discussions, and site visits..
