Job Description

The Speech, Language, and Hearing Scienses (SLHS) department is part of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at St. Cloud State University. The undergraduate bachelor’s program is on-line asynchronous, which allows a diverse student demographic to be a part of our program. We train speech-language pathologists in our highly competitive, clinically focused CAA accredited master’s program. We offer our students high-impact learning opportunities through our on-campus Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic, community partnerships, clinical research and much more. Our high quality, comprehensive clinical services in speech-language pathology and audiology have been a community asset for nearly seven decades. Specific job duties include: Teaching graduates/undergraduate courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders, advising students, conducting research in area of expertise, participating in departmental and university committees and/or clinical supervision.

Salary Range: *The salary range denoted is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
-
Possesses CCC-SLP and eligible for the Minnesota licensure (MDH).

Worked a minimum of 9-months of full-time clinical experience after being awarded the CCC.

Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualification

Experience across the life span and communication/feeding disorders.

Bilingual proficiency.

Experience in academic and clinical teaching (on-line, in-person) and/or practice with documented teaching effectiveness.

Willing to work with highly motivated students in a CAA accredited speech language pathology department; good rapport with other professionals; experience and sensitivity in dealing effectively with students, clients, and their families.

Familiar with the 2020 Standards and Implementation Procedures for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
