Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a General Mechanic, you’re not just helping maintain the hotel’s physical safety and functionality – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day

• Support hotel facility maintenance: Assist with maintaining the physical functionality, safety, and condition of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-house areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests: Promptly respond to guest calls, team member requests, and maintenance work orders related to mechanical issues.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance: Carry out routine repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment, fixtures, pumps, valves, plumbing systems, and other hotel facilities as required.
• Assist with preventive maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment and systems to identify potential issues and complete preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues: Identify mechanical faults and assist in resolving breakdowns to ensure hotel equipment and facilities remain operational.
• Support other maintenance activities: Assist the Engineering team with general maintenance tasks across the hotel when required.
• Document maintenance activities: Record completed inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities, and report any issues requiring further attention.
