Senior Investment Accountant

Position Overview

As part of a reorganization of our investment activities, we are seeking a Senior Investment Accountant with proven experience in investment accounting, ideally gained within the insurance industry or with an asset management company.

The successful candidate will join the Group Finance Department, within the Statutory Accounting Reporting team, and will be responsible for the following duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record intra-group financial transactions, including loans, borrowings, branch capital transactions, and cash pooling operations.
• Monitor and account for transactions related to equity investments and shareholdings (acquisitions, mergers, disposals, etc.) under both French GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Manage back-office activities and accounting for treasury operations, including commercial paper, spot foreign exchange transactions, and FX hedging.
• Review, analyze, and reconcile bank accounts related to investment activities.
• Validate and monitor accounting data files received from CACEIS and ensure reconciliation between French GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations and clearing activities.
• Reconcile intercompany financial transactions and flows.
• Monitor and account for impairment provisions and risk provisions related to financial operations.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing activities under both IFRS and French GAAP.
• Perform quarterly foreign exchange analyses.
• Establish and maintain accounting procedures and operating guidelines.
• Upload and update IFRS reporting packages for a service entity.
• Mentor and supervise an apprentice/intern.

Education

Mandatory Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance (Business School, Master CCA, ACCA or CECCAR)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.

IT Skills

• Advanced Excel
• SAP
• SAP BFC

Languages

• Professional English level, French is an advantage (both spoken and written) is essential
