DREDGE MECHANIC

Dredge Mechanic for Dredger

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment onboard the dredger.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, winches, conveyors and dredging equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and ensure timely rectification to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor machinery performance, oil levels, pressures, temperatures and other operating parameters.
• Conduct overhauling, alignment, replacement and adjustment of mechanical components as required.
• Maintain maintenance records, spare-parts requirements and equipment checklists.
• Ensure all mechanical work is carried out safely and in compliance with vessel/company procedures.
• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer, Dredge Master and other departments during maintenance and breakdown activities.

Technical Diploma

• Valid STCW certification as Rating forming part of Engine room watch.
• 5-10 years experience on marine vessels(Preferably onboard Dredger).
