Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist (M/F/D)

Join our Advanced Technology Navigation & Sensors team and help develop next-generation GNSS and inertial navigation systems that will power the future of safety-critical and autonomous aircraft operations.

As an R&D Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge technologies at the forefront of aerospace innovation, turning advanced concepts into real-world solutions that improve aircraft performance, reliability, and safety.

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to breakthrough research and technology development projects, and play a key part in shaping the navigation systems of tomorrow.

Based in Brno, Czech Republic, you will work in a flexible hybrid environment and report directly to our Research & Development Manager.

Electronic Solutions develops the avionics, navigation systems, sensors and electromagnetic defense technology that help aircraft perform safely and with precision. Our systems are on board 90% of the world's aircraft — serving commercial aviation, defense and space operators from integrated flight deck platforms with 30-plus years in service to radiation-hardened systems trusted for human spaceflight.

• Develop advanced integrity monitoring algorithms and models for safety-critical navigation applications, supporting the next generation of autonomous and resilient aircraft systems.
• Design, execute, and analyze scientific experiments, simulations, and field tests focused on GNSS, inertial navigation, and integrated navigation solutions, both in laboratory and real-world environments.
• Collaborate with internal experts, research institutions, and industry partners to drive innovation, share knowledge, and advance navigation technologies.
• Stay at the forefront of GNSS and navigation advancements, evaluating emerging technologies and contributing to continuous improvement and future product development.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of navigation systems, GNSS/INS integration, integrity monitoring, and estimation algorithms.
• Proficiency in MATLAB; experience with Simulink, Python, and C/C++ is highly desirable.
• Experience across the full prototype and software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, experimental validation, data analysis, and optimization.
• Ability to travel as needed; experience with real-time embedded software development
