Join Hilton Singapore Orchard, the largest Hilton hotel in APAC, as an Assistant Manager, Payroll. You will lead the end-to-end payroll function, ensure payroll accuracy and compliance while leveraging workforce analytics to optimise labour costs, enhance productivity, and support business decisions. Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day

Payroll Processing & Analysis

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process and proactively analyse payroll, overtime, headcount, productivity, and labour cost trends to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and workforce productivity improvements, providing insightful recommendations to the hotel leadership team.
  • Ensure all payroll-related activities are completed accurately and on time, with all relevant payroll accounts reconciled.
  • Process monthly payroll, overtime payments and casual labour payroll payments.
  • Prepare payroll and overtime accruals journals entries.
  • Maintain and update payroll-related balance sheet schedules.
  • Respond to Team Member’s payroll related enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor actual working hours against contracted hours and identify any variances for review.

Compliance & Audit

  • Prepare and submit monthly CPF contributions, monthly deduction payments and IR8A filings.
  • Stay abreast of and ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Adhere to all Hilton policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place over payroll expenses.
  • Attend to all audits as well as tax related enquiries pertaining to payroll matters.

Cash Management

  • Monitor and manage the cash float in the cash recycling machine.
  • Prepare daily cash reconciliation reports.
  • To coordinate on cash collection with CISCO for bank purposes.
  • Manage adhoc cash payment and cheque collections.

General & Administration

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned to ensure that the department functions smoothly.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications

  • Minimum a diploma in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity.
  • Experience in hospitality industry would be preferred.
  • Rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail.
  • Able to work in high volume environment with strict timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Able to work efficiently with highly digitalised environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, HR systems, online banking and relevant government agencies’ online portals.
