Senior SW Engineer

Software Engineers with 8+ years of experience and a passion for building scalable, cloud-native software solutions. In this role, you will own, design, develop, and enhance cutting-edge applications in the observability domain, leveraging modern technologies, automation frameworks, and cloud-native platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and high-performance solutions while driving engineering excellence in a dynamic and agile environment.

As a Senior Software Engineer in MantaRay NM you will

• Own the end-to-end design, development, delivery, and lifecycle management of cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed systems components, microservices, and platform components, driving technical decisions and engineering best practices across the team.
• Champion a quality-first engineering culture by driving test automation, continuous testing, code quality, reliability engineering, and DevSecOps practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and Kubernetes-based cloud-native platforms to improve delivery velocity and system reliability.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools, agentic automation frameworks, and engineering productivity solutions to accelerate software delivery, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with product and business objective.

You have

• A Graduate/master's degree in engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering cloud-native, distributed software systems using Java (Spring Boot)/ Python.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI and/or Jenkins)
• Exposure to Agentic AI/AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, or equivalent).

Nice to have

• Experience with SOAP APIs, Oracle/PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, automation, and strong development experience in Java and Python.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
