The Role

The Medical Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of highly skilled medics/advanced first aiders who provide 24/7 emergency response and medical support across the property.

You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, strengthening clinical governance frameworks and ensuring delivery of professional, responsive and patient-focused care for workers and guests.

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 80 hours per fortnight on site and be flexible to cover weekend shifts during our busiest period.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and development of a team of medics/advanced first aiders (24/7 coverage)
  • Support, Input, Implement and Maintenance of Clinical Governance Framework, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, protocols and best practice
  • Oversee clinical procedures, documentation standards, training and competency programs
  • Ensure regulatory requirements alignment and Crown Group alignment
  • Provide leadership across roster (4 on 4 off rolling roster) but flexibility to support on call 24/7 service
  • Create professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement within own team
  • Manage operational readiness including equipment, clinical supplies and response capability
  • Collaborate with HSW, Security and other Ops leaders to ensure seamless incident response across the complex
  • Support analysis of trends and medical data to inform prevention and improvement strategies and initiatives

About you

  • Actual experience leading medical emergency response/first responder teams
  • Diploma Emergency Medical Response / Paramedic or Occ Health Nurse (not enrolled)
  • Strong understanding of Clinical Governance protocols and medical quality standards
  • People Leading coaching and developing
  • Decisive and solution focused in high pressure situations (Calm level headed)
  • 24/7 support experience
  • Highly agile, adaptable and hands on leadership style
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Large venue/site/events experience
