We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join our technology team and play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and evolving enterprise solutions across the Bank.

This role is responsible for translating business objectives into scalable, secure and resilient technology solutions that span internal systems, cloud platforms, and external partners. You will work across a diverse technology landscape, designing end-to-end applications, APIs, integration services, event-driven architectures, and data flows that enable critical business capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong architecture and integration experience with a forward-looking understanding of AI, machine learning, and modern cloud platforms, helping ensure today's solutions can evolve to meet tomorrow's opportunities.

As a Solution Designer, you will

Design end-to-end business and technology solutions across multiple systems, applications, data platforms and external organisations.
Produce solution architectures, high-level designs, integration specifications and technology roadmaps.
Partner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts and delivery teams to transform requirements into deliverable solutions.
Design secure and resilient integration patterns including APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging and hybrid cloud solutions.
Lead solution design activities across projects, initiatives and strategic technology programs.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, technology patterns and regulatory obligations.
Identify opportunities to simplify technology landscapes and reduce operational complexity.
Design solutions that support future AI and machine learning initiatives through reusable data, integration and platform capabilities.
Collaborate with external vendors, financial institutions, government agencies and strategic partners to establish secure and scalable integrations.
Contribute to architecture standards, reusable patterns and best practices across the Bank.
Support delivery teams throughout implementation, ensuring solutions are implemented in accordance with approved designs.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on their application within the Bank.

About You

You are an experienced solution designer, architect or senior technical specialist who enjoys working across business and technology domains. You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, navigating complex stakeholder environments and solving enterprise-scale integration challenges.

You have a strong understanding of application architecture, system integration and cloud technologies, together with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions across multiple applications and platforms.
Strong experience with systems integration, API design and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience designing solutions spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
Strong understanding of application architecture principles and software development lifecycle practices.
Experience producing architecture artefacts including solution architectures, high-level designs and impact assessments.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
Proven ability to work across business, architecture, engineering and delivery teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking capability.
Experience balancing business requirements, security, operational resilience, and technology constraints.

Highly Desirable

Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with hybrid integration platforms, API management, event streaming, and messaging technologies.
Experience integrating with external organisations and third-party service providers.
Knowledge of enterprise data architectures and modern data platforms.
Experience designing solutions that leverage or support AI, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent automation capabilities.
Understanding of MLOps, AI governance, model integration patterns, and responsible AI principles.
Financial services, government or highly regulated industry experience.

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
TOGAF certification or equivalent architecture certification is highly regarded.
Azure certifications are desirable.
Integration, cloud, security, or architecture certifications are advantageous.
