Summary of Job Responsibilities

Thestaffphysicianin the clinicaltrackis responsible forprovidingoutpatient care to GI patients primarilyUHealthSole Mia and UHT (Procedures)[9 half days]. He/she will provideoutpatient clinical(5 sessions)and endoscopic services(4 sessions) weekly, as well asinpatient care andteachingoninpatients atUhealthTowers and Jackson Memorial Hospital approximately 2 weeks per year. Staffphysicianwill be engaged in teaching and evaluation of GI fellows asappropriate.

Qualifications

• -
• MD Degree and ACGMEUSinternal medicine internshipand residency
• -
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
• -
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (or board eligible)
• -
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
• -
• Valid DEA license
• -

Active ACLS and BLS Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• -
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles,proceduresand techniques.
• -
• Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedurescredentialledfor including sedation.

• MustmaintainCME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• -
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meetinstitutional standards of care

Current BLSand ACLScertificationrequired
