Malay Audio Collection

Kaya by Chemin Sdn Bhd is looking for native Malay speakers based in Malaysia to join an upcoming Malay Audio Collection Project. Contributors will record short audio clips using their smartphones for an AI data collection project.

Project Details

• Location: Malaysia 🇲🇾
• Project period: 18 September – 30 November 2026
• Task deadline: Contributors must complete their assigned tasks within 48 hours
• Device: Smartphone (iOS or Android)
• Estimated total time: Up to 3 hours to complete up to 500 tasks
• Payment: USD 8 upon completion and acceptance of the required tasks
• Contributor deadline: 16 November 2026

Choose One Task Option

There are 2 task options available. Contributors can choose only one

• Malay Language Only: Record Malay-language audio only
• Malay + English (Code-Switching): Record audio that combines Malay and English

Each task involves recording a short audio clip, with an average recording time of approximately 10 seconds per task.

Requirements

• Based in Malaysia 🇲🇾
• Native Malay speaker
• Have a smartphone capable of recording clear and audible audio
• Able to commit to completing all assigned tasks within 48 hours
• Able to follow the project guidelines and recording instructions
• Work remotely from anywhere
• Priority consideration for future AI projects
• Contribute to AI trained on authentic Malay-English
