South Otago is entering an exciting new stage of its development.

Our business across Balclutha, Milton and Clydevalehas grown significantly, supported by a committed local team and strong connections with the rural communities we serve.

We are now establishingSouth Otago as a standalone VetSouth Hub, with dedicated local leadership to support its future. The appointment of our first South Otago Hub Manager is an important first step.

We’re looking for a commercially minded people leader who can help establish the new Hub, build on what isalready working and shape how South Otago develops from here.

Thisis asenior leadership role with genuine breadth. You’ll lead through others, take ownership of Hub performance and work closely with clinical, operational and functional leaders to turn strategy into results.

Whatyou willdo

As Hub Manager,you'llprovide overall leadership across ourBalclutha, Milton andClydevaleclinics and be the key connection between the South Otago Hub, thewiderVetSouthregion andComhlaGroup.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Hub leadership team.
  • Take ownership of the Hub’s commercial and financial performance.
  • Translate regional strategy into clear plans and measurable Hub outcomes.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to deliver strong people, client, clinical and business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen services, improve performance and support sustainable growth.
  • Lead change and help establish South Otago as a strong, connected Hub.

You will have

  • Proven leadership experience with accountability for people and business performance.
  • Strong commercial and financial capability.
  • A track record of developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
  • Confidence leading change, improvement and growth.
  • Strong judgement, communication and relationship-building skills.

Experience in amulti-site, service-based, healthcare, veterinary, rural or agribusiness environmentwould beadvantageous, butwe’remore interested in your leadership capability and potential than your sector background.
