Job Description
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Participates in daily workflow in the Special Procedure department with patient flow during peak periods to expedite procedures efficiently.
- Ensures high quality service in compliance with all federal, state, and local accrediting bodies' rules, regulations, statutes, requirements, and standards including TJC, measured through quality control, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction survey results.
- Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to cardiac catheterization lab standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Prepares the patient for procedures, monitors, positions, and assists the patient during procedures. Assists the physician throughout the procedure.
- Assesses the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
- Safely operates electrophysiology support equipment including EP recording system, 3D mapping, and EP stimulator, and maintains medical devices.
- Cleans and calibrates equipment. Follows proper infection control procedures.
- Communicates with the physician and other staff members about patient condition as needed.
- Performs procedural documentation using the electronic medical record for all procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab in a timely manner.
- Maintains department inventory and ensures that the department is adequately equipped, keeping supplies organized.
- Orders supplies as per procedure.
- Assists in departmental performance improvement activities including collecting and documenting quality improvement initiatives.

Education
- Associate [Required]
Field of Study
- Degree
- Must be a Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Tech, Respiratory Therapist, or Radiology Technologist
Work Experience
- 3+ requires three years of clinical experience in electrophysiology lab [Required]
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

Pay Range
$31.86 - $59.27
