Kitchen Porter

• Our Kitchen Porters play an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the catering operation within the Inner Temple over a 7-day period.
• Salary: £29,000 per annum
• Predominately Monday to Friday, occasional weekend.
• Closed for the whole month of August and open again on the 7th of September.
• Closed for Christmas on Monday the 21st of December. Returning on Monday January the 4th.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas on all floors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness.
• To work in all areas of the kitchen according to the weekly rota.
• To ensure all areas are regularly checked for maintenance and repairs.
• To maintain catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean.
• To assist with goods-in, counting and storing them correctly.
• To support with some food preparation when required.
• Hard-working and willing to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Supportive team player
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
• Demonstrates a high level of organisation
• Excellent record keeping
