This role sits within the Walt Disney Travel Company (International), the division that brings Disney Parks, Resorts, and experiences to guests across EMEA. We are seeking Senior .NET Developers to join our talented Hammersmith team and play a pivotal role in the next phase of our web platform modernisation, transitioning our e-commerce platform and marketing microsites from their current ASP.NET MVC 5 foundation toward a modern, cloud-hosted architecture.

This rolewill be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, witheithera Mondayor Fridayworking from home.

OverallPurpose of the Role

Work as an integral part of theDisney Destinations Internationalteam supporting Walt Disney Travel Company(International)ecommerceplatform and portfolio ofmarketingmicrosites.

Work closely with thedevelopment teamtomaintainand updatethebespokeecommerceplatform,taking a proactive approach in evolving the back-end technology stack and migrating legacy codeacrosstoanASP.NET framework.

Advocate integration of technologies and development methodologies to helpdrive the businessforwardand ensurea robust, scalable platform.

Areas of Responsibility

• Supportback-end website development,providing technical knowledge todelivercomplex solutionsacross full development life.
• -
• Work closely with the Digital Commerce & Production Manager tomaintainand update the bespokeClassic ASPecommerce platform.
• -
• Develop new features foralocalizedASP.NETMVC 5 platform and contribute migrating legacy features over to this new platform.
• -
• Writemaintainable,scalable, fault-tolerantcode,utilizingSOLID principles and OO design/architecturalpatterns, TDD, etc.
• -
• Proactivelymanagetools,hardwareandenvironments to support developmentrequirements.
• -
• Work with team members toidentifyworkflows andservicesformanagingcode, fromversion controltodeploymentstrategies.
• -
• Log and troubleshooterrors usingappropriatetools.
• -
• Proactively researchandexploretechniques tomaintainposition at the forefront of technology and enhance future business offerings.

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

• -
• Aminimum5yearsdigital experience withstrongdigital portfolio.
• -
• Experiencewith bespokeecommerceweb applicationshighly desirable.
• -
• Experience in a development role, either client- or agency-side.
• -
• Degree or equivalent in STEM or Computer Science discipline.

Skills Required

• Talented C# developer (ASP.Net, MVC5)

• Solid experienceof SOAPWebServicesandRESTfulWebAPIs

• Competent in useof SQL Server and T-SQL queries.
• -
• Experienceof .NET ORMs (e.g.Entity Framework)desirable.

• Knowledge of CI andautomated build services (e.g.GitLab,TeamCity,Cakeetc.)

• Experience with SDL Tridion(or similar enterprise CMS)desirable.
• -
• Experience of IOC containers desirable (Autofac,Ninject, etc.)

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g.NUnit, MOQ,etc)

• Practicalunderstanding of HTML/JS/CSSand client-sidetechnologies.

• Experience with Agilemethodology.

• Good understanding ofsource code management with git usinggitflowdevelopment/release workflow andideallyAtlassian SourceTree as a git client.

• Experience with issue tracking software (e.g.JIRA)
