About The Role

To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.
To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.
To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.
To perform engineering work in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including all lighting fittings, sockets and A/C systems.
To test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment in the guest room.
To Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
To carry out specific oral and written instructions.
To perform other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.
To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.
To maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader at all times.
To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.
To utilize or recommend usage of all environmentally-friendly products in the work place.
To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.

Qualification

Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in hotel industry.
Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.

Technical skills

Knowledge of operation of equipments and the job.
Ability to find fault and rectify subsystems.
Ability to work in a fast environement.
Able to adapt to unpredictable events.
Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.
