Role location: Jacksonville, FL / Hybrid (three days in-office, two days virtual)
About the role
As the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in our corporate controllership organization and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving process improvements.

What you will be doing

- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Key participant in the monthly accounting and close processes related to payroll, incentive compensation, employee benefits, and employer taxes.

- Analyze payroll and compensation-related expenses, accruals, and balance sheet accounts, providing clear explanations of variances and trends.
- -
- Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure the accurate accounting treatment of employee compensation programs.

- Calculate and record accruals for bonuses, commissions, vacation, severance, stock-based compensation, and other employee-related liabilities.

- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.

- Support quarterly and annual financial statement reporting activities, including preparation of schedules and analytics.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing documentation, process walkthroughs, and support for payroll and compensation-related audits.

- Assist with special projects, regulatory reporting requests, and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
What you will need
- -
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- -
- Typically requires a minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role
- -
- Big 4 Accounting experience a plus.
- -
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
