Summary of Job Duties

Join the Department of Pharmacology and contribute to meaningful scientific research involving laboratory animal models. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply advanced research skills, collaborate with laboratory professionals and students, and support studies designed to expand scientific knowledge.

The selected candidate will conduct research experiments involving laboratory animal care and maintenance, behavioral studies, surgical procedures, tissue collection and analysis, and accurate research recordkeeping. The position requires experience performing behavioral procedures with laboratory rodents.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a science-related field PLUS two (2) years of relevant research experience are required.
  • -
  • A PhD in a science-related field is preferred.
  • -
  • Candidates must have experience conducting behavioral procedures with laboratory rodents and the ability to work collaboratively with laboratory staff and students.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment used to monitor small animals and ensure it remains in proper working condition.

  • Manage laboratory supplies and materials to support efficient daily operations.

  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and students to promote a safe and productive research environment.
