Strategic Events Specialist (EMEA)
Snowflake · London, United Kingdom
About The Role
Join Snowflake, a leading data company, as a Strategic Events Specialist for the EMEA region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing various events, including Snowflake-hosted events and major third-party conferences. You will work closely with multiple teams and partners to ensure seamless and high-quality experiences. The position requires strong organizational and project management skills, as well as a data-driven approach to event performance.
- Coordination and management of Snowflake-hosted events and major third-party conferences, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality experiences.
- Ownership of workstreams within Snowflake-owned experiences, including planning, logistics, and onsite delivery.
- Collaboration with various teams to translate event plans into actionable strategies, managing timelines and deliverables.
- The role is well suited to someone who is highly organized, proactive, comfortable working at pace, and excited by the challenge of delivering complex events with measurable business impact
- 3–5 years of experience or equivalent depth in fewer years at a high-growth company in events, field marketing, or a closely related environment; agency experience is also welcome
- Willingness to travel across EMEA for onsite delivery, including occasional evening and weekend work around key events
- Confidence working with vendors and agencies day to day, including resolving issues without escalating everything
- Experience with B2B trade shows, conferences, or owned events, ideally in technology or another fast-moving industry
- Genuine independence paired with genuine teamwork — you'll own your areas, and you'll also drop what you're doing to help a colleague get theirs over the line
- Solid commercial fundamentals: budget lines, POs, invoices, and spend tracking
- Proficiency with Google Workspace. Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, Canva, and a project management tool such as Wrike or Asana is an advantage
- Sound judgment about when to act independently and when to escalate — you make routine calls confidently and flag the non-routine ones early
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication, including proactive status updates and early escalation
- Comfort with ambiguity. You can pick up a workstream without a fully written brief, ask the right questions, and make sensible calls on the routine decisions while knowing when something needs your manager
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with clear prioritization when several things are urgent at once
- A data-driven view of event performance. You track the numbers on your own workstreams, you're honest about what didn't work, and you can make a point with evidence
- Proven experience owning event workstreams independently, including onsite delivery
