About The Role

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers on RF hardware development, schematic design, testing, and manufacturing of space electronics.   • Participate in the design and development of RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers on product development, schematic design, testing, and manufacturing of space electronics.
  • Present work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Please Note: To conform with the United States Government Space Technology Export Regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., conditional resident, asylee or refugee (protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
  • Advanced coursework in RF & microwave engineering
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as network analyzers, power sensors, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited university
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Upper-level undergraduate coursework in electromagnetics
  • Practical experience designing and building electronics hardware for a research project, competition team, extracurricular activity, or advanced engineering course
  • Familiarity with electronics schematic and layout tools such as Altium
  • Advanced coursework in antennas
  • Advanced coursework in communication systems
  • Familiarity with circuit and physics simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and ADS
  • Advanced coursework in electromagnetics
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python
  • Aerospace or automotive electronics design and development
