Fraud Specialist

Join Onoff, a fast-growing telecommunications company, as a Fraud Specialist. In this hybrid role based in Romania, you will be responsible for monitoring suspicious activity, investigating fraud cases, and applying fraud prevention procedures. You will work closely with various teams to protect Onoff against telecom and payment fraud. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in telecom fraud, payment fraud, or revenue assurance, and possess strong analytical skills.

• Monitor customer activity to identify suspicious behaviour, review SMS, voice and usage patterns to detect fraud, and investigate suspicious accounts and determine the appropriate action.
• Handle fraud-related disputes and investigations, perform manual reviews of newly created accounts and high-risk customers, and review payment activity and identify suspicious payment behaviour.
• Identify recurring fraud patterns, suggest improvements to fraud detection rules, and help test new fraud controls developed by Product and Engineering.
